Radio Show #402 – Hampden’s Chief of Police Moves On

Hampden Chief of Police Jeff Farnsworth is ending his tour of duty after 15 years as the Chief, and a total of 30 years with the department.

Chief Farnsworth soon begins his new assignment as the  Senior Policy Advisor to the Secretary of Public Safety.

This is an important appointment – working in the office responsible for bringing all departments in the Commonwealth into compliance with  the new standards as set forth in the Governor’s Police Reform Bill.

In this exclusive interview with Pioneer Valley Radio, Chief Farnsworth details the thinking that informed his decision.

The chief also reflects on the changes in the town of Hampden and its safety needs over the last 30 years.
